My education, past working experiences and research interest focus on regulation, in particular in the energy sector.
My interest in regulation originates from the choice of my BA major, in Energy economics. I discussed in my dissertation the influence of the liberalisation of gas market and its impact on price trends. Supervisor Maria Concetta Chiuri
Subsequently I enrol in the “Erasmus Mundus” Master in Economics of International trade and European integration (now MA Economics of Globalisation and European Integration), a joint Master Programme Supported by the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission.
In 2005 I received full scholarship as PhD researcher in Economics at Siena University (completed in 2011).
In 2008 I started to work at Ofgem (Office for Gas and Electricity Markets) as Regulatory Economist.
In June 2009 I worked at the Florence School of regulation (EUI) as Research Assistant and Project Coordinator.
In June 2012 I joined the Enel Foundation (EF) as Head of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Dissemination Area.
Between February 2016 and July 2017 i was Senior Editor at Nature Energy.
Since July 2017 i am Senior Economist at Ofgem (Office of the Chief Economist).
I am also member of the Scientific Committee of the MedReg forum and Research Fellow in Economics - Department of Economics, Management and Business Law - Bari University.
